Garden of the Heart Collection

The Jardin du Coeur Collection is inspired by the eponymous garden at the van Buuren Museum in Brussels. This unique garden is a testament to Alice van Buuren's love for her husband, who died in 1955. Created by landscape architect René Pechère (1908-2002), it owes its name to its shape and spirit, which are summed up in the beautiful poem at the entrance to the Jardin du Coeur:

“Secret garden of the heart,

Secret Heart Garden,

Friend,

To you,

To discover its meaning,

As you walk,

In the garden of your heart.
