Our Story
Suzanne Heritage® is a European brand of exclusive, contemporary jewelry inspired by cultural heritage and museum collections. Founded in 2025, the brand draws upon the thirty years of experience its founder, Sophie, has developed in close collaboration with leading European museums.
The year 2025 marked the centennial of the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris—the landmark event that gave its name to the Art Deco movement and defined an era of artistic and aesthetic innovation.
In celebration of this anniversary, Suzanne Heritage® launched two inaugural partnerships: one with the Foundation of the Musée et Jardins van Buuren, established fifty years ago by collectors Alice and David van Buuren, and another with the Fondation Boghossian – Villa Empain—both exceptional institutions of the Art Deco period.
Our Art Deco Collection was also selected by the boutique of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs during its two celebratory exhibitions, Paul Poiret, Fashion Is a Feast and 1925–2025: One Hundred Years of Art Deco.
How do we collaborate with museums?
Our museum partnerships are founded on excellence, exclusivity, and trust. Sophie draws inspiration from each institution’s collections and architecture to design jewelry that reflects its spirit while honoring its history and aesthetic. Museums review and approve her designs and the prototypes she commissions, ensuring that every creation resonates authentically with their identity. Rather than reproducing existing pieces, Sophie interprets an object, a work of art, or an architectural detail to create an original and contemporary design.
Where is our jewelry made?
All of our jewelry is handcrafted in Provence by a family-owned atelier, using noble and natural materials such as brass, hand-applied enamels in a rich palette of colors, natural stones, and exquisite crystals from Swarovski®. Each piece is individually numbered, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, and bears the inscription Made in Provence.
Why the name Suzanne Heritage?
By choosing this name, Sophie sought to affirm that the brand’s very DNA lies in heritage and in the museums with which it collaborates so closely.
She also wished to pay tribute to two remarkable “Suzannes” who have long inspired her: her beloved great-grandmother, Suzanne Rault, a pianist born at the end of the nineteenth century, and Suzanne Belperron, one of the twentieth century’s most gifted and visionary jewelry designers. To Sophie, these two women embody artistic talent, independence, and strength in the face of destiny.
